Österlens Museum

Welcome to visit Österlens Museum, the culture historical museum of Simrishamn. It contains folklore furniture, folk costumes, fishing and seafarers history as well as a large program of events!

Österlens Museum can be found in the middle of Simrishamn. The former grain storage Hafreborg where the museum is located is part of a merchant farm called Björkengrenskagården. Named after the shipper and merchant Björkengren who was also the builder of the farm in the mid 19th C.

The exhibitions and program of events always represent Österlen in some way or other, from prehistoric to present days. The museum is also well-known for its unique collection of textile- and folk art. There is a large collection of lace.

At the entrance to the museum there is a very cozy and well sorted museum shop.
