The Autoseum

One of Skåne’s most interesting motor museums can be found in Simrishamn.

The Autoseum hosts more than a hundred cars and sixty mopeds and motorcycles. There are also two aeroplanes. Everything is at its best in the amazingly spacious halls of the museum, covering a total of 4000 square metres. The pleasant motor aroma and the right feeling already permeates the walls, even though the museum was only inaugurated in its current form as late as June 2008.

Here you will find, among other exhibits, Dag Hammarskjöld’s Citroën, the ruling monarch’s old Porsche and Gustaf V’s Cadillac. The museum also houses a shop, café and fully-licensed restaurant. It is also possible to hold conferences at the Automuseum.

Many items from the museum collection have previously belonged the esteemed Skoklosters Motormuseum – Skokloster Auto Museum outside Sigtuna. Moreover, Stockholms Tekniska Museum – Stockholm Technical Museum has donated fifteen very interesting vehicles. We very much recommend a visit to the Autoseum!
