Ystad Sports Assc. clubhouse "Casa Blanca"

What trophies has the Ystads Idrottsförening – Ystad Sports Association brought home over the years? An important part of Ystad’s sports history is gathered at Casa Blanca.

The old sugar refinery villa once served as the home of important employees at the sugar refinery in Köpinge. Nowadays it is better known as Casa Blanca or the Ystad Sports Association Villa. Today the house serves as the clubhouse of the Ystad Sports Association and houses an office with a vast trophy collection.

The Ystad Sports Association has mainly been known for its great handball successes. Swedish champions in both 1976 and 1991. For a long time, the sweltering Österporthallen – Österport Hall has been an infamous location for visiting handball teams. Many other sports have been associated with the YIF over the years. To name a few: soccer, bowling, athletics and volley ball.

It should be pointed out that Casa Blanca is not first and foremost an ordinary museum, but a clubhouse. If you want to admire the amazing trophy collection and a variety of other things, please contact the office beforehand and they will help you.
